New to town and was looking for a reliable auto shop and came across Fremont Auto Center through five star reviews on Yelp. Decided to give it a try based on the astounding positive reviews. I came in for a car inspection due to a undeniable "rattling" sound on the bottom of my driver's side. Had my struts changed from a different shop back in Vegas. Sal and his team initially said the problem is the axle. After replacing the axle the noise was still there. They discovered that whoever previously replaced my brake pads (Honda Dealership) forgot the calipers. The noise on the bottom was fixed but now there was a noise towards the dash board that couldn't be heard previously due to the loud noise coming from the bottom. Sal and his team checked the struts and they discovered that the mount spot welds were broken and was literally hanging by one weld, which was on the verge of breaking. They fixed it and sure enough now I can't hear the annoying "rattling" sound, that was scaring and keeping me paranoid every time I drove my car, anymore. All these noises were a culmination of previous poor work jobs from big auto shops that didn't even bother to properly check even small details. Sal and his team were very accommodating to my schedule and needs. Throughout this whole process, I had personal matters I needed to attend; and Fremont Auto Center worked with my schedule making sure that the work would be done to a high degree while having my car on time. The whole time I felt like they actually cared about solving the problem and weren't trying to upsell me. Every step of the way, Sal and his team kept me informed and before any major procedures were made, they made sure it had my approval. There was no surprise "fixes" and surprise charges. Not sure the repair prices here in the Bay, but in comparison to Vegas prices, the overall charge was more. Of course the work and quality definitely validates the prices; and Sal assured me that parts have a two year warranty, which I can't say for my previous auto shop. Was able to converse with Sal while he was test driving my car, and he was talking about his belief on quality over quantity when it comes to fixing cars; which I truly admired. The auto shop I previously took my car before, had a big team with a grand shop but I did definitely feel like the work was rushed and I felt like just another customer in and out their shop. With Fremont Auto Center, I feel like this will be my go to shop for my future car needs (hope not anytime soon). They gave me that "your car is part of our family" type of vibe lol. Anyways, based on my experience I highly recommend Fremont Auto Center for your car needs.
