You cannot find a better shop or more trustworthy mechanic than Sal. I started coming to Fremont Auto Center when it was under its previous owner. When I called in one day with a car problem and found out that it had been sold I was devastated. I had lost a kind and honest mechanic, but without knowing another good shop to go to, I decided to give Sal a try. I am so glad that I did. Somehow, with the greatest of luck, I found another golden mechanic, someone who I can trust to do what he says, when he says, for the price he sets. Best of all, even with my extremely non-mechanical upbringing, I have not once been made to feel stupid in his shop. He answered each of my questions in the firm belief that I needed all the info so I could make a decision I was happy with. His commitment to integrity will make lifetime customer of anyone lucky enough to find his shop.

Me and my wife were driving back from Santa Cruz to Sacramento when our car hose blew. We were trying to decide what mechanic to take it to since there are so many in that area. My wife and two kids were next door at another shop that was unable to help while I was having the car towed. Sal saw my wife crying and offered her help, he invited us in and said that he would stay late to wait for our car to be towed in. He also agreed to stay and take a look at it. After taking a look at it he was able to fix the problem and send us on our way home. If your looking for an honest mechanic with great knowledge and experience I would say this your guy. I pray that God blesses you, and I thank you so much for being an angel in a time of need.

GO SEE SAL! This is the absolute BEST auto shop I have ever found. Sal currently works on all 3 of my 'higher mileage' vehicles. He always answers the phone when I call, one time even after hours! His prices are extremely competitive and you will not get better customer service from another shop. He is very up-front and honest about what your car may/may not need and will not try to sell you into getting additional repairs. Alot of times, my old cr@ppy cars have weird issues that just pop up out of nowhere. Each time I have called Sal, I was able to bring the car right in and he fixed the problems that day. I am so happy to have found this shop and Sal and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Go see him and tell all your friends & family to go see him as well. You will not be disappointed!!!

Called today with problems starting my car. After jumping it, I called and Sal told me to come right on over. He seemed fairly busy but I didn't wait long. He trouble shooted possible problems and after ruling out the usual, told me I should look into my warranty, as my car is relatively newer to ensure I wasn't spending money on something that was covered. Essentially he looked at my car for no charge and told me if I needed to, to come back. Appreciated his honesty and sense of urgency. Hoping I don't have to return (pending my car operating as it should) but if problems persist, this will be my go to spot. Thanks for your help Sal!

Came to Sal about 3 weeks back with a Loud screeching noise coming from the wheels. Sal was very patient, took out the car a few times for diagnosing the problem and fixed it. Wonderful experience. Would come back for my next service Sal..

Great experience! I came to Sal yesterday, and gave him a whole list of things I thought I might need done. I dropped the car off and went to work, and he was very communicative with me about what I actually needed, based on the Honda service schedule, and also evaluated the wear (on brakes, belts, etc.). After I left, he only recommended fixing about half the items I "suggested," because that is all I really needed done. I should say that I get paranoid about having car issues, been stranded too many times with other cars I have had :-D Anyway, he explained thoroughly why he repaired the items that needed attention. The price I paid was very reasonable for what was done. I will definitely be back here. I hope he stays there for a long time :-)

Best place to go to when your car needs its attention The customer service is excellent, fair prices and the work is done better than any other shop. Sal the shop owner helped me feel like I was in good hands when I came in to check up on my car(Toyota). He's a real legit honest person. Fixed a couple of things here and there and now my car is up and running smoothly. New brakes Replaced the oil to synthetic And I'm thinking of coming back to get stronger shocks, a new window, and new tires.

Sal was able to squeeze me in for an oil change without an appointment. Great attention to detail. Will definitely be back to this shop. Update: since my original review I've taken several vehicles for service including a weekend tow delivery for a dead dead dead vehicle. Sal and his team were able to quickly diagnose and repair, I was without my daily driver for only one day. Very consistent excellent customer service.
